Guidance for people receiving Home Care

Home Care helps people to live in their own homes for as long as possible. This help could be personal care, shopping, cleaning, inhouse support and general support to maintain independence.

B&S Healthcare Ltd staff will meet you to assess your needs and provide services to meet your needs. These could be:

  • Short-term intensive assistance during a crisis
  • Assistance to get back on your feet after an illness or a spell in hospital
  • Long-term assistance if you can no longer care for yourself
  • Assistance to enable your Carer to have a short break from their caring role for you

Duties Undertaken by Home Carers

Staff will provide services to meet your assessed needs only. These will be shown in your Care Plan. Staff cannot help out with assistance or tasks beyond this. Unless agreed in writing beforehand and agreed in writing by B&S Healthcare Ltd.

Duties Not Undertaken by Home Carers

Cutting nails, toenails and administrating liquid medication.

Duties Undertaken with Specialist Training

Ear drops, eyes drops, catheter care, stoma care, palliative care.
